Leap Motion Cursor for Unity's New UI
Mockup Monday #36:
Leap Motion Cursor for Unity's New UI
February 2, 2015
I’ve been working on making a game that uses the
Leap Motion Controller. I ran into a
problem though. How can I use Unity’s UI with the Leap Motion? Unity
revamped their UI system for the better with release 4.6. They have a
Unity Samples: UI
that you can download and play with. I use the Menu 3D
scene in
this week’s Mockup Monday video.
Fortunately, Unity’s new UI and event system are open source and extendable, so I started working on it last capturing my progress in a series of tweets show below. I’ll probably release this as a Unity Asset sometime in the near future. Thanks for reading and watching!
